Superintendent: School math due for upgrade
Math teaching needs improvement, parents told Superintendent Kevin Skelly in a forum earlier this month on the school district's Strategic Plan, a map of priorities. Children's Theatre costume-sales probe ends
The costumes-sales aspect of the Children's Theatre financial-irregularities investigation will not result in any charges being filed against anyone, Police Chief Lynne Johnson confirmed Monday.

SPORTS: Paly's Diepenbrock leaves for Caņada College basketball job
Only a lucky few ever get the chance to coach a high school basketball team to a state championship. Peter Diepenbrock is one of those lucky ones. His 2005-06 Palo Alto boys' squad that went 32-1 and captured NorCal and CIF State Division II crowns was one for this prep history books. Diepenbrock, however, has closed that chapter in his coaching career and will begin a new one, as head coach of the Caņada College men's basketball team.
