A year full of movies that matter

The Weekly's three film critics -- Jeanne Aufmuth, Tyler Hanley and Susan Tavernetti -- were often moved as one by the strength of these characters. When listing the Top Ten movies of the year, all named "Brokeback Mountain," "Capote," and "Good Night, and Good Luck" among the best.

They also agreed on the ensemble piece "Crash," calling it "edgy," "unforgettable" and "the best movie ever made about race relations in the modern world."

Just to make things interesting, we've also included each critics' choices for the five worst flicks of '05, along with Aufmuth's choices for hottest cinematic hunks and Hanley's most memorable on-screen babes. In addition, Tavernetti takes a look at the documentary offerings from the past year.

And new this year -- a list of the best film heroes and villains from 2005.
