After collecting trash for weeks, first graders at Walter Hays Elementary School participated in a fun-filled Recycling Olympics last Thursday. The event included such games as "water bottle bowling," "teetering trash," "newspaper recycling toss," "tin can knock-off," "bottle cap drop" and "paper airplane hanger throw." The students also made musical instruments out of paper towel tubes and toothpicks.
